CHRV met with Senator Consiglio Di Nino at J11 Office in regards to the conference that CHRV would like to hold in Ottawa.

CHRV met with Bob Rae MP at his office. The meeting was attended by CHRV and CTC. The objective was to end the hunger strike. Mr.Rae provided us a letter addressing to the hunger strikers of how he felt and expressed his support.

CHRV met with Paul Calandra MP with another group from the Tamil Community. Objective of this meeting was to address and discuss the role that Canada could play to end the war in Sri Lanka.

CHRV met with Paul Calandra MP once again with two other groups from the Tamil Community. Topic was how to end the hunger strike while satisfying the hunger strikers.

CHRV met with Frank Klees MPP at J11 Office in regards to the war in Sri Lanka and how Frank can assist us with this matter. Frank offered to advise the community on how to approach the government.

Alarmed by the present situation in Sri Lanka, elected representatives, activists, leaders, and experts will come together to raise awareness on Human Rights violations in Sri Lanka.
