For Immediate Release

The Canadian Human Rights Voice condemns today’s deadly terror attacks in Tunisia, Kuwait and France.

On Friday, June 26th, 2015, gunmen stormed into the Hotel Riu Imperial Marhaba in Sousse,Tunisia and assassinated nearly 40 civilians.

Prior to the Tunisian attack, one person was beheaded, while two people were injured in a terror attack near Lyon, France. French authorities found a decapitated body and a knife inside the vehicle of the suspect as well as the victim’s head “with two banners or flags … inscribed with a profession of faith in Islam,” said Prosecutor François Molins.

The Islamic State of Syria and Iraq (ISIS) have claimed that they are responsible for the bomb blast at a Shite mosque in Kuwait City, Kuwait. 25 people were killed in the attack, while 200+ worshippers have been severely injured.

Extreme violence and death in the world have been our group’s concerns too often, unfortunately, and usually, internationally.

The members of the Canadian Human Rights Voice “believe that everyone has the right to basic fundamental rights and anyone who is deprived of that, needs a voice.” (CHRV Mission)

“The international jihadist movement has declared war on Canada and the shared values of freedom, democracy and human dignity.” said Canadian Prime Minister, Mr. Stephen Harper. “Canada will not sit on the sidelines as this global terrorist group unleashes senseless violence on innocent civilians from Europe to the Middle East. We will continue to protect Canadians, support the international coalition to degrade the jihadist threat, and stand shoulder to shoulder with our allies in defiance of this evil.”

Authorities need take precautions to remain safe but must also, need to remember the importance of everyone’s human rights.

We offer our support and condolences to those who have been affected by these barbaric attacks.
